Colt Verified Proof V&P in triangle marking on left facet of your barrel among the legs with the entrance sight base:     The "C" to the barrel would point out a chrome chamber only barrel. But AFAIK, Colt marked the "C" up close to the muzzle on their own early barrels, not beneath the handguards. Pic of Entrance Sight Base is slightly fuzzy.
